I had the privilege of partnering with Maureen Coultas and Hope’s Promise for a number of years with the Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation (FCCF). Maureen developed FCCF Cancer Days to support children with cancer and their families. The day included so many aspects of equine therapy to create an enjoyable and empowering day for patients, siblings, and parents. To state it quite simply, Maureen leads with love – her heart was felt in every aspect of instruction, planning, care, and event programming. She naturally forms and bridges connections, and she gives 150%+ in everything she does.

Hope’s Promise has made a big impact on my kids’ development. They are so happy and busy with the horses, they don’t realize how much they are learning! Self-confidence, focus, responsibility, physical coordination & dexterity (and joy!!)- are just some of the skills and gifts they get from their time with Miss Maureen, the minis, Chief, Justice and the volunteers.
