We were at a loss when our son was diagnosed with dyslexia and exhausted with what few resources were available at school to no avail when we found Renee Penny. She worked with our son for 3 years outside of school where he was taught the fundamentals of phonemic language, decoding, fluency, and comprehension in a manner he could understand. He went from a frustrated and struggling 3rd grader who didn't like reading at all to a thriving and confident 6th grader! Renee exhibited nothing but extreme kindness, patience, and never-ending support to help him overcome his deficiencies and taught him unique strategies he continues to utilize to be successful in school and in life. She deeply cares about her students, and this shines through in the amazing results you see when working with her!

I can't say enough about Mrs. Riley and the impact she has had on our son. At the age of 4, our son began speech therapy with her and has continued through age 7. Her kindness, patience, professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine heart shone through in every session; above all else she made speech FUN for our child. His progress and goals were met ahead of the anticipated schedule and he always looked forward to going back to his next session with Mrs. Riley. Her communication has been excellent and we've appreciated knowing areas where we can do our part at home to reinforce his goals. She has not only helped our son with his speech-specially pronunciation and articulation - but also with his confidence. He has never felt like speech was "work" and hasn't ever left a session with Mrs. Riley without a huge smile. If you are considering speech services for your child, we cannot recommend anyone better!
