My son was born extremely premature at 25 weeks gestation. He had feeding difficulties as an infant and required speech therapy soon after discharge from the NICU. He had severe oral aversion and refused to eat by mouth. He would cry and push the bottle away. Weight gain was a problem. This was seriously distressing as parents. After starting feeding therapy at a facility close to home, we were referred to Cate at Bloom Therapy Group and drove nearly an hour away to seek treatment, because we were told she was the BEST. And she was! She was knowledgeable and very concerned about our baby. She got us on the right track. He is now 5 years old. We removed his G-tube the day after Christmas this past year.
