I came to Corriewood Private Clinic in November 2010 into the old house. I needed a lot of care as I was younger than most people going into a nursing home. I have a bedroom with my own personal furnishes from home. I can move with ease throughout the home on my motorised wheelchair. The staff are excellent, and the nursing staff are first class. The food is great and I get taken out on trips where ever I want to go. It’s not like being in a nursing home, it’s like a hotel with expert nurses to look after you. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

My mum was in a nursing home and she was isolated due to her behaviours she has dementia. Staff at that Nursing home said she couldn’t be with other people as she was very disruptive. This was hard to take as mum was always a feisty independent woman. We asked for her to be considered for Corriewood Private Clinic as they have a purpose-built dementia unit. The staff treat her with the utmost respect and spend time with her daily, she even gets her scarf tied the perfect way! The attention to detail makes us feel she’s still our Mum. I could never thank them enough for the way she is looked after.
