Rachel really figures out how to connect to each kid where they are at and has a talent for noticing what will work for each individual. My daughter was in speech therapy for 9 years, from ages 3-12. She had 6 different speech therapists over those years, and all of them were lovely. But, at age 11-- when Covid prevented 2 months of speech therapy until they made a safe plan at her speech office-- we had a couple of Zoom speech sessions with Rachel, and it was like a lightbulb went off in my daughter. She really started getting all the things that had been like brain obstacles to understanding how to achieve certain sounds. Rachel gave her "homework" and some tools to work with on her own, and that was really the beginning of the end of her speech therapy journey. She "graduated" from her IEP and has been able to apply all she learned on a consistent basis over the last 2 years. Thank you, Rachel!
