At age 3, our son was diagnosed with Apraxia of speech and he worked with several high quality therapists in Washington and Utah, including an acclaimed university researcher in the field of Apraxia. We feel so blessed that our son was able to work with Pam Jamison. She was in tune with him at an individual level and, with her, he made the most progress. He will soon graduate from High School, and serve a LDS mission, and move on to college. Miss Pam helped him grow in confidence and ability so that he could achieve these goals. During her sessions she individualized her lessons with attention to our son's interests and his particular challenges. She always made each session interesting and gave him motivating homework to reinforce his goals. We especially appreciate her breakthrough when she began having him do warm ups that included large-motor movements and crossover patterns before each session. She was the first therapist to do this, and it proved very effective. Miss Pam is a gifted speech pathologist and we've always felt like she approaches her work as a vocational calling rather than a mere job.

We have been working with Pam for over a year now and have absolutely loved our experience! We started seeing her for my nonverbal son, that is on the Autism Spectrum, and have made great improvements. She was able to see that he was not using his tongue correctly, probably due to Apraxia, and has focused on oral motor movements since then! We have seen quite the difference in him attempting to say more sounds since focusing on this aspect of his language skills! While at one of his appointments I had my younger daughter with us and Pam noticed that she deletes sounds when talking. We just always assumed she was a really fast talker because you can see her mouth works faster than her brain. We have started working with Pam for her now as well and are noticing a difference already! Pam is very good at what she does and pays attention to the small details that will play a big role in the language development of my children! I am so glad we found her and look forward to what’s to come!
